Jul 29, 2023
MILFORD, MA — Milford police are hoping to reel in a masked thief with a taste for high-end fishing gear.
A man wearing gloves and a mask broke into a vehicle parked along Meade Street around 4 a.m. Monday and took three customized deep sea fishing poles valued at about $12,000 total, police said.
"The fishing poles are customized and have the victim's name inscribed on them, 'Nuno,'" Milford police said in a news release. Two of the rods are purple, and one is dark blue.
Police also released images of the fishing poles on social media.
Anyone with tips or who has seen the distinctive fishing poles can contact Milford police Det. Thomas Leung or Officer Nathaniel Motuzas.
